Is There Help?

Sometimes our burdens seem more than we can bear, and we wonder how we can go on.

The Apostles Scriptures

During the apostolic time, and the next couple hundred years when they mention the Scriptures, they are talking about the Tanakh (Old Testament). The New Testament as we know it didn’t come around till the late 4th century. The letters that the apostles wrote held authority, but only 3rd to the Tanakh and the words of Jesus. All they taught came from the Tanakh, and what Jesus taught them. We has Christians seem to esteem the New Testament writings over what God Himself revealed in the Old Testament. I guess what I’m trying to get at is this. Maybe, we should a little more time in the Old Testament.
