Psalm 90:10 “As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years, Yet their pride is only trouble and tragedy; For it quickly passes, and we disappear.”
Psalm 90:10 really got me reflecting about life. I’m turning 65 in a few weeks and the Psalm says that the days of our life are seventy years and maybe eighty years if we are in good health. Now, you can see how it got me thinking, 5 years from seventy, I’m getting close to the finish line here on earth. Five to fifteen years to go, that’s a short time. So, you can understand why it made me ask myself the question “Am I living life as God intended?” Folks, think about that question. Your answer is probably same as mine “I’m trying”!
God always intended for us to have a relationship with Him from the beginning, we all know how that got messed up. The only way to have a relationship with God now, is by having a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ.
He also intended for us to enjoy all of His creation and everything He made. Folks, God made this Earth just for us to live on, He made the mountains, rivers, lakes, so let’s enjoy it!
God also intended for us to enjoy life, He wants to enjoy things we like to do. If you enjoy fishing, He wants us to going fishing. If you like woodworking, He wants us to make something and enjoy doing it. If you enjoy raising food or animals, He wants you to enjoy doing it. Folks, if you like to do something, then do it!
God also intended for us to live peacefully, in fellowship and in good standing with our neighbors. You know, the Golden Rule, treat our fellow man the way we want to be treated. That’s the life God intended for us!
That’s what this blog is all about, my journey “Living Life As God Intended!” and how our faith helped me and my wife through all the circumstances we have encountered in life. I pray that what I share with you will encourage, comfort, and bless you in your journey “Living Life As God Intended!”
