“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. [19] And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.
John 3:18-19 NLT
In verse 18, the phrase “believes in him” means more than just saying “Jesus is real.” This kind of belief includes committing your life to Christ and putting your trust in His salvation.
Each and every person in this world must make such a decision. Each and every person in this world must choose between light and darkness, between serving God and serving Satan. Sadly, some people do choose darkness.
Folks, that’s their choice. No one can make this decision for someone else. Parents cannot make their kids choose Jesus. Church leaders cannot get church members to heaven. And you will not be able to make this decision for your friends or loved ones. You are called to share the gospel with people, to present it in a way that makes the truth clear through both actions and language. The rest is between each individual and God.
