We do not have to guess how God wants us to behave. He has not hidden it from us, making it hard to know. All we have to do is open the Bible.
God gave Moses the commandments. God wanted His people to know how to act so that they would honor Him and also so that they would be safe and healthy.
Folks, we still demonstrate our faith today by obeying these laws. This does not mean that we worship the laws, making them more important than they should be….. that would be disobeying the Ten Commandments themselves. But it does mean that we honor God when we act the way He wants us to.
Remember, love is the fulfillment of the law. Above all else, we are to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. No easy hill to climb. But the view from the top is unbeatable.
