I think this verse is one of the most encouraging verses from all of Scripture. It tells you that even when you feel like you are facing the biggest temptation ever, someone who has gone before you has already faced it. And quite likely, someone else is facing it at the very same time you are.
Even when you feel like you can’t stand the temptation anymore, this verse says you can because God will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength.
And even when you feel like there is no way out, God has provided you with a way out. God will provide you with a way to tolerate, and not give in to, the temptation.
God is faithful. He will never let you down. When you feel like you are alone, you are not. Call on God. Ask Him to give you strength, to send you help and to show you the way out.
