Bible Reading 26 Apr 2020

26 Apr 2020

Good Morning! Our reading today is Acts chapter 25 and 26. In chapter 25 we see Paul is before the Roman Governor Festus, Festus who wanted to please the Jews tells Paul that he will stand trial before him, but Paul makes an appeal to have Caesar hear his case. King Agrippa and his wife visit Festus in Caesarea to pay their respect him. Agrippa ask Festus to hear Paul’s case. Paul appears before Agrippa and Paul tells Agrippa how he came to meet Jesus. Agrippa told Paul “I know you believe and you almost persuaded me to believe in Jesus.

Like Paul we should be ready at all times to tell people about our faith and hope we have in Jesus. Also like Paul, they may not respond to believe, but you have planted the seed of Jesus in their heart and the Holy Spirit will send someone else to water that seed you planted.

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”
1 Peter 3:15
